We are looking for a Senior Automation and Performance Engineer to lead quality engineering initiatives across both test automation and performance engineering. This role requires deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive scalable, high-quality, and high-performing systems.


You will be responsible not just for implementation, but also for defining frameworks, setting standards, mentoring team members, and embedding quality and performance engineering practices into the development lifecycle.

Automation Strategy & Leadership

  • Architect, design, and evolve scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript

  • Defining and enforce automation standards, best practices, and governance

  • Drive shift-left testing and ensure automation is embedded early in the development lifecycle

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in automation best practices and framework design

  • Review code and ensure high standards for test reliability and maintainability

Performance Engineering Ownership

  • Lead end-to-end performance engineering strategy including planning, execution, and optimization

  • Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using Apache JMeter and Azure Load Testing

  • Define performance SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs aligned with business requirements

  • Conduct root cause analysis for performance issues and drive remediation with engineering teams

  • Establish continuous performance testing integrated into CI/CD pipelines

AI Adoption & Innovation

  • Actively leverage AI tools and techniques to improve productivity in test automation, performance testing, and debugging

  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI capabilities such as:

    • AI-driven test case generation and maintenance

    • Self-healing test frameworks

    • Intelligent log and anomaly detection

    • Performance insights using AI-based analysis

  • Identify opportunities to integrate GenAI and AI-assisted development tools into the QA and performance engineering workflows

  • Drive adoption of AI best practices within the team to enhance efficiency, coverage, and quality outcomes

Cloud & DevOps Integration

  • Design and manage test and performance environments in Azure

  • Integrate automation and performance tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

  • Enable continuous testing and quality gates for releases

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on observability, monitoring, and release strategies

Automation Expertise

  • 5–8+ years of experience in test automation

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript

  • Deep understanding of test architecture, design patterns, and maintainable frameworks

Performance Engineering Expertise

  • Extensive experience with Apache JMeter for performance and load testing

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Load Testing

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Throughput, latency, concurrency, and system scalability

  • Performance tuning across application and infrastructure layers

  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving real-world performance issues in production-scale systems

Technical Depth

  • Strong expertise in API testing and RESTful services

  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications

Cloud & DevOps

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, monitoring, etc.)

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

  • Proficiency with Git-based version control

Soft Skills & Leadership

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Proven ability to mentor and lead engineers

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to drive initiatives independently with minimal supervision
