One of the defining evenings of Singapore Maritime Week

Singapore Maritime Week gathers the people shaping the future of shipping. This evening creates space for a more personal kind of exchange. In a carefully curated setting, it brings together senior maritime representatives from Norway, Singapore, and the wider international sector to reflect on the people, realities, and responsibilities behind the industry.

At the centre is a simple idea: progress at sea is not only about technology, policy, or performance. It is about the people who keep global trade moving. By bringing seafarers’ own perspectives into the room, the evening opens up a more grounded conversation about crew wellbeing, responsible shipping, and the future we are building together.

An unfiltered view of life at sea

At the heart of the evening is a curated vernissage from Seafarer Stories 2025/26: Show Us Your World, CFARER’s global photo competition built on images submitted by seafarers themselves. Together, these photographs offer a perspective rarely seen by those onshore.

They show life at sea as it is lived: demanding, proud, exposed, routine, and often overlooked.

By bringing these images into the room, the exhibition shifts the focus back to the people who keep vessels moving, operations running, and global trade in motion.

An evening shaped around perspective, conversation, and the people behind the industry.
